Web design for veterinarians
Hand-built websites for UK vet practices. RCVS-aware, calm in an emergency, and built to convert pet owners into health plan members.
01 / Why vet sites have to be different
Owners visit a vet site at the worst moments. The site has to be ready for that.
When a worried pet owner pulls up your website, they are usually doing it on a phone, late at night, and the dog has eaten something it should not have. They want one thing: how to reach you, right now. A homepage carousel and a marketing pop-up makes the moment harder. A clear emergency contact panel and a calm tone makes it easier.
We build vet practice sites that put emergency contact and clear next steps front and centre, then layer in pet health plan signup, online booking and species pages. Hosting, ongoing changes and seasonal updates are all part of one monthly plan.
02 / What you get
Built for the way pet owners actually use your website
Calm in an emergency, clear in a routine consult, and quietly converting health plan members in the background.
Out-of-hours and emergency contact
A clear 'in an emergency' panel on every page with the emergency number, your out-of-hours provider and the closest 24-hour clinic. The most important thing on a vet website by some distance.
RCVS Practice Standards display
RCVS Practice Standards Scheme badge, accreditation level (Core, General, Tier 2/3) and your team's MRCVS registration. Quietly verifies you against unaccredited rivals.
Online appointment booking
A booking flow that handles routine consults, vaccinations, neutering and check-ups, with the right time slot per service. Frees the receptionist's phone for the calls that need a human.
Pet health plan signup
A dedicated page for your wellness or pet health plan with monthly cost, what is included, and a one-page signup. Quietly converts existing clients into recurring revenue.
Species and service pages
Dogs, cats, rabbits, exotics, large animal, equine. Each species and service (dental, surgery, behaviour, nutrition) gets its own page that lands the right local search.
Calm, reassuring tone
Owners visit a vet site at stressful moments. The design is calm, the language is plain, and the next step is always one tap away. No panic, no jargon, no marketing fluff.
03 / How it works
From first call to live site
Practice review
We map your services, species, RCVS accreditation level, opening hours and out-of-hours arrangements. Compliance is decided up front.
Pages and pet health plan
We design pages for each species and service, plus a clean pet health plan page with monthly cost and signup.
Build and integrate
We build the site and connect online booking to your practice management system if it supports it (ezyVet, Provet Cloud, RoboVet, Teleos).
Live and updated
We go live and keep services, opening hours, vaccination prices and team profiles up to date on request.
FAQ
Common questions
Will the site comply with RCVS guidance?
Yes. We display your RCVS Practice Standards Scheme accreditation, your veterinary surgeons' MRCVS numbers, and the right disclaimers around emergency care and out-of-hours arrangements. Built to RCVS expectations, not to a generic agency template.
Can clients book consults directly?
Yes. We connect to your practice management system if it supports online booking, or build a tidy form that drops booking requests into your reception inbox. The right approach depends on which PMS you use.
How prominent should the emergency information be?
Very. Out-of-hours and emergency contact details sit on every single page, usually as a small floating panel or footer block. It is the thing a panicked owner is looking for at 9pm on a Sunday.
Can the site sell our pet health plan?
Yes. We build a dedicated page with monthly cost, included treatments and a signup form that runs on direct debit through GoCardless or your existing provider. Wellness plans usually pay back the website costs many times over.
Will the site work for a referral or specialist practice?
Yes. Referral practices need a different shape (vet-facing referral forms, case pages, consultant bios). We build the site around your audience rather than forcing a first-opinion shape onto a referral hospital.
How do you handle exotic and equine clients?
Each species or audience gets its own clear page with the right specialism, kit and team. Owners searching for 'exotic vet [town]' or 'equine vet [county]' will land on the page that matches their search.
