Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use browser localStorage to store your consent preference - this works similarly, keeping a small piece of data on your device between visits.

2. Cookies and Storage We Use

Essential (always active)

ctrlaltelite_cookie_consent

Type: localStorage. Stores your cookie consent choice (accepted or declined). Without this we cannot remember your preference.

Analytics (only with consent)

First-party analytics (no consent required)

Our own cookieless analytics beacon. Uses sessionStorage only (cleared when you close the tab) and a daily anonymous device hash. No cookies, no personal data, no third parties.

Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*)

Usage analytics cookies set by Google. These track anonymised page views and user journeys. Data may be processed by Google in the US under the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

Vercel Analytics

Anonymised, cookieless analytics provided by Vercel. Records page views and performance data. No personal data is stored.

Advertising (only with consent)

Google Ads (_gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_dc)

Used to measure conversions from Google Ads campaigns and, if you consent, to show you relevant ads on Google's network. The Google Ads tag loads on every visit, but ad storage, ad personalisation and ad user data are set to denied in the UK/EEA until you accept the consent banner.

3. How to Control Cookies

You can change your consent preference at any time using the Cookie settings link in our footer. That reopens the consent banner so you can accept or decline.

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking all storage may affect site functionality.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when we add or remove analytics tools. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
