We do web design in Barry for the traders, tourism businesses and independents that give the town its character - from a single landing page to a full marketing site or web platform. Barry is the largest town in the Vale of Glamorgan, sitting on the South Wales coast with Penarth, Dinas Powys and Sully just along the road and Cardiff Airport a few minutes away at Rhoose. Most of its business base is micro and independent - the trades, cafes and tourism around Barry Island and its pleasure park, the retailers on Holton Road, the street-food traders and coffee spots at The Goodsheds, and the small firms spread across Cowbridge, Llantwit Major, Rhoose and St Athan. It's a town that runs on word of mouth and a strong shop-local feeling, alongside a long industrial backbone at the docks and the Dow silicones plant. Plenty of those owners trade well by hand but have a website that doesn't pull its weight.
That's the job we design backwards from. A site for a Barry Island business has to turn the people who already find you - through Gavin and Stacey curiosity, a recommendation, or a quick search on the seafront - into actual enquiries and bookings, and it has to load fast on a phone with one bar of signal. We build light and quick, write the words plainly so it sounds like you and not a template, and we stay on afterwards.
