Do I own my website? What happens if I cancel?

The domain is registered in your name from day one, so it is yours whether you stay with us or not. Your content and photos are yours. There is no long-term contract, so you can cancel whenever you want, no exit fee, no hostage negotiation. If you leave, you keep the domain and we help you move the content somewhere else. The whole point is that staying should be because the site is working for you, not because you are locked in.

Why pay monthly instead of one big upfront bill?

Cash flow, mostly. A small business doesn't want a three-grand invoice landing in month one when the site has not earned anything yet. Paying monthly spreads the cost and includes ongoing changes, so you are not back at square one every time you add a service or want to update a photo. Add it up over three years and it is roughly the same total as a traditional build plus a maintenance retainer, without the 3x-upfront sticker shock and without surprise invoices every time you need something changed.

I'm already on Psychology Today and the affordable therapist register. Do I still need a website?

Both directories are useful, and the site does not replace them. It gives you somewhere to send anyone who Googles your name, room for issue and modality pages that directories cannot rank for you, and a contact flow you control end to end. Most trainees run all three in parallel.

Is it ethical to advertise as a trainee?

Yes, provided you are clear about your training status, the register you sit under (e.g. BACP Student Member), and your supervision arrangement. All major UK bodies permit this and expect it. We write trainee-safe copy by default and can follow your specific register's advertising rules to the letter.

Cancel anytime, no exit fee. We can also park the site at a small holding fee if you plan to come back in a few months, so you don't lose the domain, the copy or the Google history you've built up.

Preview within 24 hours of your brief, site live within 72. Plenty of trainees sign up the week their placement confirms and are taking enquiries before the first teaching week.

Can I take bookings online?

We don't push booking widgets on trainee sites by default. First contact for therapy clients almost always benefits from a short human exchange, and a booking button can feel clinical to a nervous first-time caller. If you want a booking system once you're established, we connect Acuity or similar later.
