Web design for pubs
A pub website with HTML menus, Sunday roast bookings, this week's events, function room enquiries and hours that show up in Google.
01 / Why pub sites need a rebuild
A working pub site does five jobs
Pubs are five businesses in one trench coat. Drinking, eating, Sunday roasts, events and function hire. Most pub websites do one of those well and the rest as an afterthought, then sit untouched between licensee changes. Customers can't tell what's on tonight, what's on the Sunday menu, or whether there's a table.
We build pub sites that handle all five jobs cleanly. HTML menus, embedded reservations, an events list you actually keep current, a function room enquiry page and proper Google-friendly hours. One monthly fee covers the lot, including the weekly updates.
02 / What you get
The pub site essentials, all working at once
Menus, roasts, events, function room and hours - plus the schema that gets you into Google's local results.
Food and drink menus as live pages
Bar menu, kitchen menu, Sunday roast, kids menu, wine list, cask ale board. All built as proper pages Google can read, not yet another PDF that nobody opens on their phone.
Roasts and reservations
Sunday roasts get their own page with sittings, pricing and a clear booking flow. Embed your existing reservation system or use a simple deposit-paid booking through Stripe.
What's on this week
Live music, quiz nights, sport on the big screens, beer launches, comedy. A simple events list you can update through the portal so the page is always honest about tonight.
Function room and private hire
Wakes, birthdays, christenings, work parties. A dedicated hire page with capacity, sample menus, hire fees and an enquiry form, instead of forcing people to phone the bar at peak.
Sport schedule and big games
Showing the football, the Six Nations or a darts night? We build a simple fixtures list so people know whether you'll have the game on, and which screens it'll be on.
Opening hours done properly
Hours coded with schema so they show in Google and on Maps, including kitchen hours separately from bar hours. Bank holiday tweaks go in once and update everywhere.
03 / How it works
From first pint to live pub site
Walk-through
We come in for a pint or jump on a call. Talk through the bar, the kitchen, the Sunday trade, the function room, the events, and the regulars you want more of.
Design preview
Home, menus, roasts, what's on, function room, find us and contact pages, designed around the pub. Clickable preview before any code is written.
Build, embed, schema
Build the site, embed your reservation tool, add proper restaurant and pub schema, hook up Instagram and connect the domain. Tested on real phones from the bar.
Live and updated weekly
Go live and get your portal. Quiz night line-up changes, Sunday roast menu rotates, function room enquiries come in - we keep the site current week to week.
FAQ
Common questions
Why move our menus off PDF?
PDFs don't load well on phones, don't appear in Google searches, and can't be searched by customers looking for a specific dish. HTML menus rank in Google for things like 'Sunday roast Walthamstow', show up in mobile search nicely, and are dead simple to update when the kitchen changes a special.
Can the site take Sunday roast bookings?
Yes. Either we embed your existing reservation system - OpenTable, ResDiary, Quandoo, DesignMyNight - or we set up a simple deposit-paid booking through Stripe so no-shows lose their deposit. Whichever fits how you already run the front of house.
How do I add this week's quiz or live band?
Send a message to the customer portal with the date, the act and any cover charge, and we add it to the events list. Or, if you'd rather, we build a simple admin so the duty manager can update it from a phone in two minutes.
Can the function room get its own page?
Yes, and it should. A dedicated function room page with capacity, sample menus, hire fees and an enquiry form catches a lot of bookings that would otherwise call the bar at 8pm on a Friday and never get through.
Will the site help us rank for 'pub near me'?
We set up the schema, the location data, the kitchen and bar hours, and the food and drink menus properly, which is the technical groundwork Google needs. Local ranking still depends on your Google Business profile and the competition, but the site won't be the bottleneck.
How much does a pub website cost?
Plans start at £79/month and cover design, build, hosting, weekly updates to events and menus, and any other changes. No setup fee, no contract lock-in, no separate invoice every time you change a Sunday roast price.
Ready for a pub site that pulls people in?
Start on the free plan. We design, build, host and update your pub's website so the team can stay behind the bar.
